BOO! Got your attention? We’re celebrating Halloween in Te Puke with a treat trail for the kids.
On the 31st of October starting at 4 p.m., head to downtown Te Puke with the kids dressed in costume and follow the pumpkin trail which will lead you to all the participating businesses handing out treats. Along the trail we’ve organised street theatre by Te Puke Repertory Society, Games by Middle Eire, Buskers and Street Food plus our very own Town Crier will be there too. So bring your treat bags, some money for food & games and head over for a good spooky look around. Get yourself some yummy Pumpkin Soup or Pumpkin Spices Coffee! You can pick up a map at the Te Puke Library or the Epic Te Puke Facebook page from October 16.
If it’s been a while since you’ve visited Te Puke, you’ll love to see the new-look main street. Te Puke has had a make-over with the removal of a lane through town and the addition of more pedestrian crossings creating a safer shopping environment. There are plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot next to Jubilee Park. If your kids are into skateboarding, check out the new skate park or take the younger kids for a play in the playground. You can enter the town by walking through the historic walkway, then explore the shops and culturally diverse food options – YUM! Sometime in October a new dedicated Christmas store called the ‘Aberdeen House Christmas Shed’ will be opening in Te Puke too. Te Puke is just a 10 min drive from Papamoa down the Te Puke highway and offers many shopping and dining options.
Have a Happy Halloween in Te Puke!
